Prime is no different than a lot of other companies, they do what they have to do to service the account. There's not exactly a huge pool of drivers living in and around Olney, IL. So they fill in with OTR guys if needed, but most of the runs are covered by drivers in the Midwest Regional Division. As for repairs, we have a shop on site. Maintaining the Walmart trailers is part of the contract, so we have guys there 24/7. -
Would landing the dedicated Olney, IL route be out of the question during my first year? I live outside of Springfield, IL.

would be up to your fm.

wesleyadams and YoungGuns Thank this.

Thanks for the quick response IP. I want to go where the money is and I'm the first to admit that I know very little about dedicated routes, the differences in home time, pay, etc. I'm not afraid to run as much as legally possible. If OTR is going to be a better paying gig, I'm all for that.
