You need to put miles a higher priority then pay scale. Beginning a trucking career in a position where average weekly miles are at or below 2,400 is a recipe for a miserable existence trying to deal with short hops, out-of-sync appointments, idle time sitting ....... waiting, hours (days?) .... spending money trying to keep from going insane .... you will essentially be a gypsie 24/7 truck keeper for a weak salary, used to keep hot loads moving where another driver ran out of hours 5 hours short of delivery. You will spend many hours waiting on slack-butt drivers to finally arrive to do a load swap.
I'd much rather run 3000 at 35 then 2300 at 46 but to each their own.Montanaboy1988 Thanks this. -
^^^ What he said ^^^
Explore other options...beautiful country WEST of I-35. Be safe.Montanaboy1988 Thanks this. -
Thanks I greatly appreciate kind sirs ...oh yea I love the west ...I'm originally from montana

In a way I get what your saying BUT.......looking at it like that you are saying you would rather work an extra day or more for the same amount of money.
77smartin, not all of their trucks are day cabs. -
Rockee would you do the jb hunt gig?
-
Never mentioned daycab...they are not the size truck any sane person would spend more than a week in. Plenty of companies offer better equipment for "living" on the road.
-
.46 with 2200 a week, if it was 5 day week. Out 12 weeks then have 1 off ? drop a bowling ball on your foot it will hurt less and be more productive.
If you are ok staying out 12 weeks at a time, taking 34's wherever.... you can do better with just about anyone, unless it's you life long dream of short hops and sitting at the dock or truckstopMontanaboy1988 Thanks this. -
I'm leaning towards central refrigetated
-
that is prolly better.....
