What drives me nuts, is I keep getting bonuses on my paycheck, but they don't explain what they are. I think they are my tuition reimbursement but they list them as a bonus. This aggravates me because they take taxes out of a bonus, not a reimbursement.
Payroll, will "get back to me" on this.

I could write a book in response to this, but, I digress. I have agreed to be a good boy. Carry on. (;)

Redwolf if they are coming about every month for the exact same amount then they are tuition money. It's been a long time so i can remember if anything got deducted from my tuition checks. You're right though, it would seem odd if it's happening. By the way I have learned to not let anybody "Get back to me" or Shoot me a message later". I just call twice a day everyday until I get the answer I need. Payroll is pretty good about being quick though.

I found out one was my sign on/stay on bonus. The others are tuition money.

What you are going thru is what I call a distraction.

So what are you being distracted from?

Try this one on trip#222222 you were dispatched from anycity, any state. The dispatch miles called for 47 mt and 1233 loaded. Total dispatched miles =1280

your odometer reading when you started was 67,984

Your odometer when ended was 69,164

If you do the math you only drove 1180 miles. When you get your check you will find you were only paid 1062 miles.

Now you call payroll and ask what happened to my 1280 mile dispatched load. Answer How can we pay you for miles that you did not drive?

Now lets reverse the situation 47 mt 1233 loaded. total of 1280 dispatched miles.

odometer start 67,984 odometer end 69364. So now we are plus 100 miles.
When you call to ask about this problem, they have the answer for this too.

Answer= we pay what we billed the customer.

My question did they refund the money to the customer when i drove shorter then expected miles?

Close quarters training refers to the following situations:

    1. You and your trainer sit together in the driver's seat.

    2. You, as a green driver, try to park a 53-footer in a space designed for a straight truck that is at most 26 feet long.

    3. You're in training and trying to live on training pay. Money is tight, and the quarters are close, as in 'they're running out'.

    hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

Man I'm glad I didn't go through training like that. My old man taught me how to drive.

    #1 sounds a little "fruity"... :biggrin_25523:

They have a course laid out in the yard that is, well, close. It simulates some of the angles and dangles you have to go through to get a trailer in some of the docks we get to. It was actually one of the more beneficial things I have done. The instructor was very knowledgeable and not judgmental like some. He had a lot of good tips to help us get the truck and trailer where it needed to be.

Haven't seen this. I check all my mileage religiously, and haven't caught them doing anything funny yet. I get kind of particular with my pay, so I keep an eye on it.
I even go so far as to write down the miles they send me on the pre-plan, and compare it to the miles given on the dispatch. I then compare them to the miles I get paid.
