LEO, you need 10 posts before you can PM him.
He posted his number and TTR has so far not stripped it out.
Often they do. Depends on type of thread.
/What's your company name? Andrew's area code is Virginia.

Osceola is about 45 minutes away
Dayton, Ohio? -
There are 3 companies in PA named Shoemaker Transport.
There's a Richard, an Eric and an LLC in Altoona.
Each has a separate DOT number.
The Altoona LLC has had 2 inspections, 2/26/2013 (TN) and 4/17/2013 (KY). Taken out of service (OOS) for inoperative trailer turn signal on 2/26 in Tennessee.
You can look it up here: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/Search.aspx -
We are a LLC In Altoona, Yes we had two inspections, and on 2/26 was our first run

Is this a bad thing in this business? We are running every week and doing fairly well. I am looking for ways to make me and this business better. I am doing well with all things related to running the office and keeping us making profit after all costs on each run. Just surprised at your post, has me ???? what this may have to do with the business. I had an inspection in as how our company is being run and paperwork we have on file, and passed. I am very interested in if you have any tips or pointers that may make us better in the running of this concerning things that are posted in areas of the running of this kind of biz

There are a lot of really bad companies out there.
Your LLC doesn't have a CSA score yet, not enough inspections.
Something to be mindful of.
The smaller the company, the bigger impact a ticket or inspection violation has on your CSA score.
For what it's worth, I'm glad to see you here.
Interested in car hauling and car haulers like yourself.
You have as much right here as anyone else.
Lots of drivers have thought about a wedge and a PowerStroke, for example, and the OP has made a launch in that direction. More power to you both.
/And you're up to 6 of the 10 posts you need to PM!!
//When you have at least 5 inspections, they'll start posting your CSA. You wouldn't want them to do it right now. 3 inspections, 1 with an OOS, 1 with another violation, would probably put you around 65-67% (1 inspection good, 2 with violations). You'd like your next inspections w/o violations.Last edited: Nov 19, 2013
LEOCASS37 Thanks this. -
Thank you very much for your words of encouragement. We are currently looking for a bigger trailer,as we got a 4 car to get our feet wet, you can say. I was looking for a place where I thought I could get as much info as I could that would be useful and not so neg or no exp.And this website drew me in, Again TY
Onde question though, when do you receive ur CSA score? -
You could start a thread on it. How you started with a 4-car, etc.
As I understand it, the number of cars you can haul limits the distance you can run.
So I would encourage that, too.
You wouldn't have to post much, like a quick note you'd write to Mom...
...so she/we feel like we know how you're doing.
/By the way, Andrew's here now. I spoke to him on the phone a little earlier. It would be interesting if you could help each other out. Dunno.LEOCASS37 Thanks this.
