I'd also like to know who PnD is. You know the old saying it sounds to good to be true especially for Florida.

Ever thought about a straight truck? If you drove for a truck owner like we do, Expediter Services, that pays 40 percent of truck revenue. (you do not want to drive for one that pays 60/40 with you paying for everything, you want one that pays 40/60 with them paying everything) You would be making .48 per mile. It has been really slow right now so solos are only getting 1000 to 2000 miles per week but that would be 480.00 to 960. a week take home. Course taxes are at the end of the year. But with your standard deductions you will probably get money back.

Not as 'prestigous' as the big truck, but it would pay the bills. Lot easier then lugging along an 53 ft truck, but the same luxuries, easier to obtain the CDL, not as expensive either. Can you drive a Uhaul? If anwser is yes, all you would need do is study the CDL book and have someone go over the PTI with you everything is in the book. whaaa laaaa your ready to go! :biggrin_255:

No matter if your just gettin started or your a seasoned driver, you never want to break down your time versus the money. If you do this you'll quit b4 you even get started. I don't mean to sound harsh but the bottom line is, if your a driver your time aint worth nothing to nobody but yourself. If I had to do it all over again I would only drive by the hour. At least that way your not gettin screwed on both ends. Good Luck to the both of you in whatever you choose to do.:biggrin_25511:
