Shuttle drivers are under the same rules you are as far as T- calling loads with scale tickets, got to have them. Laredo and Memphis yard scale tickets are supposedly ok because they have their scales calibrated. The Laredo scale was out of service for quite some time but is apparently fixed now. As long as it is a Swift terminal scale that prints out the weights, date, and at least the trailer number, it seems to be acceptable when T-calling.
The thing that gets my blood pressure going is when an eastern terminal accepts a t-call on a California bound load, but doesn't bother checking the trailer axles when it gets there, it has a legal scale ticket (for where it is, not for Cali) so the chimps behind the glass take it and holler next.
Good night from...

oh yeah, the 210 to me gets the worst at times, sometimes the 57 and 71 is really bad as well. I have gotten a little better at judging times to drive being in LA area so much the past month.
I delivered my trailer today in Vernon, I slept in and didnt leave Lebec until about 10:30 but it worked out since I missed all the rush traffic then I shot up to Dinuba, got there and attached to a trailer around 1800 and went straight back, I did run into a small traffic jam on the I5 South near the I10 split but it was because of some accident, other than that traffic was pretty nice minus the few people scared of some rain and going very slow.
There were a few slippery areas on the roads though, I felt it especially when bobtailing back towards Lebec and hitting some of the larger bumps so I took it easy in some areas, a lot of trucks were going 45-50ish tonight. My plan was Bakersfield but time was running out and it would of been very close so I played it safe, got about 550 miles in today though.
Goodnight from my favorite flyingj in Lebec once again -
well, the funs over. walmart blitz is over for me. they have me doing walmart local today due to a sims class tomorrow morning. spent 3 hrs on i-60 traffic this morning. really sucked with both exits of i-605 closed from south 60 due to a crash i think. doing another trip hear n fontana then will be close to out of hours by time i deliver it to walmart dc in mira loma terminal

Bowling Green, KY.
Another fun day of very long live unloads, and then my preloaded next load turned into a live load.
That ate the rest of my hours for today.
The load was scheduled to deliver tomorrow at 1415 at Costco in Morris, IL, but it is all slow roads from here and my fuel route doesn't have me on a single freeway.
And instead of just routing me up the Parkway to US60, it has me going up 35W to 60 - which adds like 70 miles.
Needless to say, I am not following the fuel route all that closely on this one.
I did a Mac22 with a 1900 delivery, and I got the PTA update that usually indicates that they accept my time.
So now I'm spending the night at a Walmart because I needed some clean clothes.
I haven't been anywhere I could wash clothes for (past due) several days, and I ran out this morning.
Trying to find somewhere to shower has been just as bad, what with where I've had to park the past several days. And I can't seem to work enough time into a load to do it during driving hours. -
that sucks moose, im starting to run low on clean clothes as well but mostly just because I have been lazy to do them, guess I better in the next day or so.
Yeah dp I saw the blitz was ending so im kinda glad I didnt try to get into that gig.
Im shut down behind the Walmart in Dinuba, went and did some late night shopping since I didnt even shut down until almost 1am, stocked up on some food and supplies, also got some rain x and washer fluid, we get reimbursed on washer fluid correct? Its a hell of a lot cheaper at walmart either way and I was completely out tonight when i tried to clean my windshield where it drizzled just enough to make a smeared mess, was hard to see for a few minutes until I hit a decent rainfall again.
I am also going to take 4 days off for thanksgiving, already talked with the DM about it and I told him I dont want to take any time off this weekend so find me some locations to go get trailers and I want to work straight through to Wednesday night. Without a reset I will just have to work Monday with just a few hours but then I will be picking up 10+ almost daily after. -
I'm shutting down in the Fontana terminal tonight. Thought I'd have a drop and hook delivery, but they didn't have any empties, so I bobtailed over here. The passage from Denver to LA was a tad more technical than the last time I did it. Greasy slick conditions going over the Rockies. Last night I took my extended 10 in the little town 40 miles east of the I-70 and I-15 junction.
I only had 9 hours on my 70 and a 3:15 am deadline in Irwindale (just off I-210), so I waited to start my fuel/pretrip until 1:30 pm Pacific time (my home terminal time) to take advantage of hours coming back after midnight to be able to complete the run. That was a bit of good planning to start so late, so I could have full advantage of 11 hours drive time and my 14. I made it to the delivery, then bobtailed 30 miles to Fontana. I tried to find ANYTHING near the customer in Irwindale on Google Maps, but no such luck.
The cold front moving down from Canada must be coming on down through Utah and Nevada. Almost the entire trip today was intermittent and sometimes very heavy snow and rain, all the way over Cajon Pass. At times fog required me to hit the 4-ways and slow down below 40 mph.
I'll sleep well this morning... -
wolfy... yeah, i talked to my dl about staying close to fontana for the next week. they kept sending me preplans yesterday and this morning going to denver, loveland, or pueblo co. didn't respond to either due to being on the walmart fleet yesterday due to a sims class scheduled for this mornimng. matt original said i'd be on the blitz for 90 days which would be thru end of december. but i guess it ended earlier than they thought
