Jake brake cuts out C15

    My jake brake has started to cut out recently, like it is working on half power..sounds like it is surging.. Works fine when it cools off or when I 1st start off..cooled off and got 1/2 way down mont eagle and started cutting out again, like it derated it self to 1/2 power..2004 peter with c15 bridge engine..

    you want to remove the valve covers, looking for loose wires, test the solenoids with an OHM meter. Run the motor and push down on the center pin cover the assembly with a rag then look for leaking, loose solenoids, or cracked housings. If it happens when it is hot check it when it is HOT.

    ty sir, i checked the center cover, as it is the easiest, will take the other 2 off when i get home,..TY
