I was mainly getting at the exhaust stacks behind the sleeper not putting breathers behind sleeper with a stack like the cabovers. I think it would reduce some resistiance not having those big things sticking out there. I have seen a few of them like that.

I love my 379 but I think a few modifcations could help the fuel economy without hurting the looks like moving the air cleaners.

Also looking at moving my air horns down off the roof.

Could I please get a "ball park" estimate on adding lower fairings/skirts to a '12 386...? Need both sides, from steers back.
Just a "estimate"....don't need a hard/exact number. Parts, Paint, and install. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2014 384 with the MX 13 motor. Since my first service I've been having (fuel water filter) problems my fuel filters were changed at 25,000 and two weeks later my fuel water filter was clogged. I was told I got a bad batch of fuel and they were changed again. 3 days later they started to clog again, my tanks were checked and there was a very small amount of water in one of them. It was pumped out and they replaced my filters again, I drove 600 miles and the filter was already starting to turn black I took it in again the tech looked at it and told me I probably had algae in my fuel and to use a fungicide to kill the algae and to keep running it in my fuel for a while and he gave me a filter so I could replace it when it needed to be. Which I did after about three weeks and its been three weeks again and I have to change it again Lets see that's 4 filters in 20,000. And I've used three bottles of the fungicide (FPPF - Killem) at the recommended dose at every fill up to date. Sorry about the long story but I'm very frustrated Its a brand new truck I'm beginning to think that it's not a fungi at all and rather, maybe the I have some bad fuel lines and the are deteriorating and that's why my filters are turning black.

Is this possible, and what do you think I should do next?

    Thanks For listening

I have seen fuel basically roasted. The return fuel on some of these engines are insanely high. Was a thread on here about 18 months or so talking about it. One poster was running a fuel cooler on the return side.

What SDaniel says above is spot on. The fuel is essentially being continually "refined" as it gets heated, w/ the result being little "clumps" of carbon are continually being formed and trapped in the fuel filter. I'm curious as to your fuel tank size and how low you run the fuel levels. Larger tanks and higher levels generally mean that cooler fuel is being supplied to the engine, which can mitigate the above.

Truck is a 2004 quad axle dump model 378. Replaced the passenger side steering gearbox a few months ago and everything was fine.Recently we replaced the drivers side gearbox due to excessive leaking. Now the steering wheel is off center and it steers a lot harder.Any ideas?
