I was wondering why I had to back in next to a container..................ship.

National Weather Service indicates a 3 mph wind. I think it's more like 20+. The truck was clearly rockin' all night, but not from extra curricular activities.

Monday at noon till Friday at noon is my record there. They have a decent cafeteria inside and the fuel stop down the road has showers.

Is there a maximum fifth wheel height on those trailers? They have a bunch up my way, different runs. Some doubles some long singles. Agent up here with them didn't know if there was a height maximum. I'm hesitant to take it knowing my height is over 50". I'd prefer not to go scalping any roofs :/

I don't know, heck I was asking Flightline about dolly clearance myself. I'm only 48" so it's not a question I worried about. I've never pulled doubles so it should be fun. I'm going straight across I10 from Jax and swap sets with another driver and come right back. Pays decent for what it is and I don't have to worry about finding a load back to FL for Turkey day.

Yeah that's all I ever see as well. I figured I'd jump on the opportunity to allow the doubles endorsement to pay me back and try something new. This is why I have TX endorsements, TWIC etc.You never know what opportunity that tomorrow brings and it sucks to miss an opportunity due to not being prepared. I'll let you all know how it goes Monday. I was all set to not work this week due to coming home early, and bam, an 8pm Friday load alert books me out.
