So you averaged 32.5 mph. Unless you are LTL, I wouldn't be bragging about numbers like that.:biggrin_25512:

I think I may take the cake. MT Friday morning, ran the 270 miles I got between yesterday (Friday) and Monday morning, now I'm sitting here... On the verge of insanity.

I don't take anything with me but clothes spare boots shaving kit you know essentials. I do take my laptop with aircard to email my bills and such get my next mission play on here. I don't always stay in the confines of log book rules this truck is either loading unloading rolling or sleeping. I have took a lot of flack for it, but if you stay up watching tv or playing video games till wee hours of night its still no rest. When I do sleep its for 10 to 12 hours after a hard drive. And like everybody there are times for whatever reason I'm stuck where I don't want to be waiting on a load or vet papers or something. I do my resets at home which helps with the boredom.

    I guess I'm different.

Since I live in this truck, and my 'home times' are basically just for short visits with family, I try to regulate my time to give myself time to actually enjoy my non-driving hours.
That usually means at least a 12 hour break.
It takes me some time to be ready to sleep, even after a long driving day. I watch some video's, cook a good meal, maybe call some family or do laundry or grab a shower - and that takes a few hours.
I also have a USB TV tuner for my computer, so I can watch local broadcast TV if I want. That option takes more time because I have to scan for channels at every new location. I generally only use it when I have the chance to see a NASCAR race when I am in the right place at the right time.

I don't like doing 34 resets. I'd much rather pace my days and average around 9 hours a day.
And with the new rules, I end up having to take closer to 42 hours than 34 on a reset - simply because I prefer to start my day early enough to shutdown early enough to find parking.

Post Trip, Call Wife talk with Kids, shower and a game or two on phone crash out, at hour 10 I'm rolling out do pretrip and down the road I roll, eat along the way take my mandatory 30 minute break eat out of the truck finish my 11 and Wash and repeat! Not much happens out her, I am very frugal with the cash so the more I can send home the happier Momma is!. :biggrin_25523::biggrin_25517:

When I was out there I had my dvd player, computer and I was happy. Many times you won't have the time to do the things you want.Just sleep, get up and do it all over again. For a 10 hr brk drivers don't care where they take it as long as semis can park there. You learn to adjust to taking brks just about anywhere and you learn to not take things for granted. But during my 34 I always found a trk stop not far from a walmart, lol. But you find things to do during your brk if you have the time no matter where u take it.
