Which was in retaliation to the burning of the capitol building in York(present day Toronto) and the abuse of Canadian(British) civilians by the Americans.

But you don't learn that part of the War of 1812 in American schools. You only learn about the Battle of New Orleans, which had absolutely zero effect on the outcome of the war because a treaty had already been signed, and the burning of Washington.

As a kid we used to stop at the factory for the "brokens" on the way out to the cottage on Friday afternoons. Hadn't thought of that in about a hundred years.

Western Pizza - OMG what I would do for a slice of this pie! Best anywhere.

Old Dutch potato chips - popcorn twists

    Roger's golden syrup

Cheez Whiz (way different up north)

"But you don't learn that part of the War of 1812 in American schools" :biggrin_25521: Do not need to be in school to learn HISTORY , lot of CANADIANS do not know very much about their country either just like AMERICANS. Just ask them about the HEROICS of the Canadian Forces in KOREA and all you get is a :biggrin_2554:

If your kidding, I'm missing the subtly of you post. If you're really this angry, you should suck it up buttercup - you did the felony.

I've got a buddy that can't come down to the US because the US won't let him in because of a DUI he got 30 years ago.
