You too, Cluck. If you are acquiring a couple trailers, the expansion plans must be moving along.

Yup my "contractor" is getting his paperwork done. My company driver should start mid December. I'm looking for wheels for myself to drive. Hopefully it all comes together

Ok so I figure this is the place to ask this question but after the first of the year I start hauling honey bees out of the southeast out to California and my current stepdeck isn't really one I want to be pulling doing this type of freight and im looking for a good used 48ft step but mostly what I find on truck paper is brand new or equal to what im pulling now and a 53ft seems like to much..is loading equipment on a 53 hard on the tail end of the trailer? that's what my outbound freight is but im not having any luck finding the trailer I want..thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

You mean when your spread is closed? I have a 53' California spread. I don't like to load really heavy behind the spread. It makes the load ride like total crap.

I get the load being behind the spread rides like crap but when you hit the dock to load equipment you cant have your axles to the rear end like a 48 so isn't it hard on the rear end of a 53 say if you drive and endloader or trackhoe onto it?
