I have an opportunity to buy a 2010 670 with a Cummins 475 HP ISX in it with a 10 Speed Eaton with 375000 miles and it comes with a Drive Train warranty for the life of the loan. They are asking what I think is a good price also a APU on it already. They don't say it is a 670 or a 780 but I assume a 670. Thank You All.

50k max more along the lines of 40k is where I'd like to be. Remember a warranty is only as good as the paper its written on. Also it only has a 10spd. I'd prefer to see a 13 SPD in it. That's just me though. Remember parts are hard to come by for a Volvo. So if something takes a crap you may sit for a day or 2 waiting on parts. Good luci in whatever you choose I wish you the best driver be safe out there.

Gauges, heater, window motors, mirrors, etc. There's more to a truck than a motor trans and rears. Just saying don't want to argue but theres more to it than that. If that rig has a fridge MAKE SIRE IT WORKS!!! That's a $1200 fridge. Company up here that leases trucks just had to put 8 of them in trucks they returned in order to complete their lease. Yea you can imagine how happy they were about that.
Read up on that ISX as well. That should just be a DPF Cummins and not have piss water having an 09 motor in it. Have your DPF cleaned as part of the deal. Its better than a DPF cat or a Volvo motor even a I still think the Detroit is probably the best of the new motors but be careful. That ISX can get expensive. Vision logistics posted in another thread about a head gasket job. $6800 to get that fixed. There is not cheap fix on a truck but that's higher than most.
What gear set does this truck have in it or do you know? Also what rubber is on it? 22.5lp?truckon Thanks this. -
Only a 4 year old truck?? with 375K miles. That's only average of 93K a year. Either low mileage cause in shop a lot or that person owned it never wanted to work. I'd get it Dyno'd and do a rigdig on it. Compare to whats for sale on truck paper.

I am with you on this one, Volvo parts seem to always have to be ordered, Also those dash clusters are a common problem and are very expensive.
OP- just for the fun of it call a repair shop that you trust and ask them to give you a quote to change # 5 or 6 injector on an ISX in a volvo and then ask for a quote for an ISX injector in a PETE, KW or Freightliner, you might be suprised.379exhd Thanks this. -
I would pay nothing! 10 speed!!!??? Rather I would buy a 379 Pete, if they are paying me 30000 $/year for the extra fuel I will waste. regarding the parts... I have C15 acert, I'm still looking for that day when they will have the parts on stock that I need. Don't start me about the prices of these parts! Volvo parts seems to be almost free in comparison with them.
Better go for a brand new one where you can choose the specs and avoid of paying for maint and repairs that wasn't done on time, the careless driving of company drivers. these companies are squeezing the profit from them and after that are looking for somebody to take the loss. I've done that twice in 3 years, so I think I know what i'm talking about. Only the savings in fuel and downtime makes the new one free in comparison with that one you want to buy.
