first of all check heater control variable resistor
where is the cab temperature sensor installed? is it with small fan?
What is the Eber model? D3LC?
Espar problem...unique to me?

needs to be taken apart,cleaned and all the small holes cleaned out youll need 2 gaskets. id put a new igniter and screen in also

Igniter is expensive and almost never needs to be changed. -
i had same problem since new i just crack windows a bit so it starts more often seems to work 95% of the time some people use a washer bottle and run it on kerosene till weather cools down . they make a plug and use washer pump to feed fuel supply

I recommend a stop by a dealer to have it checked - especially the installation - may be something that can be corrected quickly. First though - when was the last time the unit was serviced? It's something you can do yourself for about $25 bucks in parts or less and about 30 minutes in time. Low voltage is the biggest culprit that keeps them from restarting.

Might want to rethink that - the green gasket is actually a thermal insulator to help keep heat from traveling back toward the expensive stuff.....

I'd rather deal with replacing expensive stuff than having exhaust in the cab.

Back to my original complaint... it really seems to be my Espar not liking a biodiesel mix. I had been fueling a lot in Missouri at Loves where the pumps have a sticker stating a 5% to 20% bio mix that was when I had my problems.
Last week I put on 250 gals + of straight # 2 in Oklahoma, I've gotten to the point of watching the exhaust on the Espar on fire up and with the Okla fuel it started right up on the first try with very little smoke, after fueling again in No and Loves in Cheyenne it went back to smoking badly and not wanting to fire up so it really looks like the bio mix is the problem.
Seems like whatever the Govt tries to fix they just make more problems. -
It still should come apart. I don't have substantial problems with Illinois fuel. But I do avoid Minnesota fuel. It shouldn't smoke even for a second.

My Espar worked fine (except for lots of smoke on the initial startup when cold) until tonight. I switched it on and nothing happened. The green light on the knob didn't light up... Nothing. I checked all of the fuses ( I think ) including the main 30 amp aux heater fuse, the 2 amp control switch fuse in the sleeper near the Espar, the inline 5 amp that goes directly into the bunk heater, and the HVAC fuse under the dash. Anyone know if I missed a fuse, is there some other relay or fuse? Does the light on the control dial light up if I have a bad igniter or some other problem or does it only light up when the heater is working properly?
