Smoke in exhaust

    Lot of smoke comes when using jake break , somke is light gray bluesh . It's 2005 detriot 14.l 60 series Columbia . Do i need a jake break rebuild ?

    Could need a tune-up. The jakes on those (usually 795's) don't usually make a smoke of that color if any color!

    Possible that you have an injector leaking or oil leaking thru a valve seal and its burning thru the exhaust. The turbo seals on these are JUNK as well!

    Cool thanks , what is smartest way n cheapest way to fix this problem . What do I tell mechanic to check for .

    Have them check for oil in exhaust side. That SHOULD cover jakes, exh valves and exh manifold. It can also cause a HIGH build up of soot in the egr and intake. Get it taken care of asap
