Companies that allow dogs don't know if you registered your dog or not unless they ask for your employee id and look it up. Otherwise, your just another driver with a dog.
Remember there is a 100% turnover rate in this industry. Your just another face in the crowd.
Don't let your dog do anything that draws attention to you.
Does anyone bring their dog with them?

You would consider doing this to an animal?
-
what about customers that don't allow animals. I have seen signs that state no animals on property.
Personally, I thinks its because they would be charged with animal cruelty if they treated a dog like they treat the driver!TruckDuo, blairandgretchen, Arkansas Frost and 2 others Thank this. -
Many businesses have a no pet policy but not to say they don't brk the rules. Its no pets because a lot of times its working with food.Anytime to see ppl coming out with hair and beard nets you can bet no pets are allowed on their property. But like I said they will bend the rules if you keep pet hiden in the sleeper area.
Grumppy Thanks this. -
I've never seen this or thought about it. I dont think I have ever been to a facility that had sign posted saying they would not allow dogs (pets) on their property, although I am quite sure there are those companies... I just never seen it or thought about it.
Thanks for posting that & bringing it to my (our) attention

My dog cries when I leave him... he loves to ride
-
Actually the no pets would either be on the bill or the customer tells your company which then goes to dispatcher and then goes to you.
Grumppy Thanks this. -
For sure, don't disrespect the customer by letting your dog relieve itself on the property... That should be a given.

I have snuck my dog on property many times with the help from the guard shack. As long as you keep pet hiden they're pretty lenient.Carrier you drive for that knows you have a pet still will give you a load to deliver or pick up at a place that don't allow pets.Ive never been to any place that enforces their no pets allowed policy.

If you are required to leave your truck at the terminal, how do you get your pet outa there without being noticed?
