Anyone know if you have to go to Drivers Solutions to get on with PAM? Will they take trainees who have gotten their CDL on their own from a different school? Thanks.
Advice?

I am going to St Louis hopefully next week

I guess if I would have paid attetion to your earlier post I would have known that, anyway I'm to go through the Ft. Wayne school. After school I am to start driving for Decker, one PAM's subsidiaries. The Decker headquarters here in Ohio is less than an hour from my house so this sounds like a win, win for me. I wish you the best when you get to school. Keep us posted, I'll be watching for latest updates concerning your progress and the school.

Thanks... I will try to keep this as up to date as possible.

anyone going with DS i would suggest trying to go to the Newport AR school. it is smaller with alot less students and more trucks. (around 1 truck per student.) the instructors there are there to teach, not just make a paycheck

Thanks for the tip panhandle. I don' t know how it is at other DS schools but they don't provide transportation at the Ft. Wayne school. But it is only 1.5 hours from my house. So it makes sense for me to go there. It will be nice to have a car at school anyway, won't feel so stranded. Plus I'm sure that there will be others without transpo, so at least I could help a few out to and from class.

I've got a question. Does PAM require you to have a GED to be excepted? I filled out an app and I'm waiting to hear something back but their online application didn't ask anything about education. Not that I'm no dummy or anything I just don't have the time right now for getting my GED because I have to make a living. If I have to wait and get my GED then I may as well start looking for a cardboard box to live in because there just aren't any job's here that doesn't require some kind of collage or is managment or anything in my current line of work. I would try USA here in Shreveport but I have a good feeling they will just tell me to go to Diesel Driving Academy which I can't because I don't have the money up front and I can't get a grant or loan and they won't send me up DS school up north just to bring me back here.
