Where does one get the best deal on tarps??
they are very expensive here locally!
i am getting my authority next week, hauling general flatbed work off of loadboards, east to west coast.
What kind of tarps should I get, brand, size, quality, etc.

Tarp Stop seems to have decent prices and good products.

Rule of thumb buying tarps. You get what you pay for but even the cheapest tarps aren't cheap. To me, anything under 16oz material and the load will get wet if subjected to rain for a prolonged period of time. Wood flooring and lumber are just some that need to stay completely dry. The weight is a PITA but I went with 18oz which will keep it dry and the heavier material can withstand a little more abuse before it rips.

Tri City Canvas will make you anything you want in all kinda of colors for great prices. I have my 10' drops with d rings all the way around so they can be 6' drops as well, or so it makes it easier to secure odd pieces of machinery like this fuselage.

I do NOT recommend TBK in Lake Station. I have one of theirs in a 16'x 16' and find the quality to be very poor. Cheap and sparse grommets, flimsy D ring attachments and poor material welding/joints.
I honestly think a Chinese tarp would have been a better product.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
