I'm a recent graduate from the college of western Idaho's professional truck driving program. I have a class A CDL with tanker doubles and tripples. I only have 60 hours of school time behind d the wheel. Peterbuilts, volvos, kenworths. 9 and 10 speeds. I know how to mount the chains on the tires. I like the idea of driving a snow plow truck in northern Idaho if anyone knows any information. Please let me know. Thanks..........the gear grinding newbie.

In order to Drive snowplows in Northern Idaho or any part of Idaho for that matter, you need to be a an employee of Idaho Department of Transportation or a County Highway Department. I ran Snow plows last year for ITD in Couerdalene and this year Im working for ADA County Highway District here in Boise Idaho. Just having a CDL isn't going to get you a job working for a state or county agency, you need a whole lot more experience then just that.
d o g Thanks this. -
