Opps. I REALLY need to pay more attention to this and stay caught up. lol.
To answer, yes I did end up with 2 days breakdown pay for the turbo issue. day one they fixed the turbo, but ended up being a second day because something else was wrong with the turbo they got as replacement.

    And congratulations Mr. Jay!

New news. So last week I was woken up by my truck shaking violently.... fell outta bed even. peaked out my blinds to see a trailer whos name starts with the initials "CR" planted across the right front of my truck... yeah... a rookie with less than 3 months exp cut a turn in the truck stop WAY to short, and ripped a rather good chunk off my front end. ::sigh:: of course this HAS to happen in the middle of nowhere.... so the only thing the local repair shop was able to do was pull out the damage enough so that my truck was drivable.... well....as much as it could be with no right side headlight assembly... phone calls between me and our headquarters shop bounced for a bit, before we finally settled on me calling the Utah port of entry on on 80 to see what they said.. some consultation with their inspectors, and they gave me the green light to run to salt lake for repairs. In salt lake, had a new headlight grafted on. Yeah.. I mean that literally. So.... being "legal" again, I finished the trip I was on... fast forward a week to now, and i am down in Modesto for more permanent repairs. Using the week of downtime to get several medical, dental, and other appointments taken care of. Things tend to get backed up when you live away from home. lol.

Even with problems this last month, put down 11,500 Miles. Nice. Did get blown off by eastern dispatch last month for Hometime though. was told for 2 weeks strait they didn't have any loads going west.... really? Was in NC the day before I was supposed to be home. soo.... now my check calls say "Western US only".

Oh, and I also took the time to fully swap out my "summer" equipment/clothing set for "winter" clothing/equipment, and went over my truck to make sure its ready. New super singles drives, laid out and checked chains, ect....

Anyway, Im home, so Im going to go enjoy my kids for a while.
    Stay safe!

WA_Slim, Mr. Jay and jomar68 Thank this.

Grrr....finished home time, and they had decided to not fix my truck in Modesto, but instead sent me to Helena for 3 days. Ok...I can deal... but the next day running south, I get a frantic call...something about they put the wrong hood on my truck? you have GOT to be kidding..... nope...bounced outta SFS back to Helena....and they swapped hoods again... ::sigh::
So..that kinda set the tone for my month. I complained about the junk headlights on the newest hood, and got told there was nothing wrong with them...well...there wasn't....right then... Blew one cruising past Edwards AFB at dusk... called the Loves 20 miles up the road, and they had a replacement bulb... problem was....the weigh station was only 15 miles up the road.... and they just HAD to call me in for a level 1.... ::sigh:: at least it was only a fix it ticket with no points or cost.
Called it quits for a couple of days over thanksgiving. And no sooner had I gotten home, than JC called asking if I was interested in a new truck... really? YES.....
So...BACK down to Modesto today to swap everything outta my 07 and into a 2013 I-shift.... #2392

So... the month ends with 7800 miles...and a new truck... so...silver lining... lol

    Edit to add......
Whoever gets 2070.....Sorry I'm a smoker.... I did my best to clean up the inside yesterday, but I couldn't vacuum since my inverter was dead..

You should be able to kill it by tapping the accelerator pedal, IIRC. Wait until the "Idle Shutdown" message appears, then tap the pedal.

    SpiritWolf Thanks this.

Try setting the cruise while parked. Acc/coast should net about 25 rpm bumps in idle.

Hmm...turns out to kill the idle timer in this particular truck..... turn on cruise control, and hold the resume accel slider for about 2 seconds, then it flashes "timer canceled", and im good to go. Took me about 20 minutes of fiddling with it to figure it out.
Interesting how even the same make/model/year of truck, in the same company, all seam to have different ways of shutting the timer off.

    Ok. Getting caught up here.
So. I have been on FMLA leave for the birth of my newest daughter since the beginning of February. My goal has been to come back to W/S with my own truck, and it looks like thats going to happen. Unless something goes catastrophically wrong, I will be picking up my new (to me) 2009 Volvo 780 on March 10th in Minnesota. After that, will have to get it set up with Watkins and Shepard, and I will be back on the road.
Some irony.... the truck im buying, was a dealer trade in from Ashley Furniture... :biggrin_255:

I have seriously enjoyed being home, but honestly, I can't wait to be back on the road. Im twitching......lol

Sounds like you've bought one of those fancy looking black rigs then! Hope she does you right and earn more than you expect! Keep us updated, you don't hear from too many O/O's on here at W/S.

I will try n keep updated on here, but.... I said I would when I got hired, and haven't really been doing to good of a job of it... lol

Fancy is right. Black paint, heated/swivel seats, APU, Ishift, fridge built in, ect.... Its exactly what I have been working the last few weeks to find.
Reality is a pain, and my credit wasnt up to the task of a new one...(much hatred to the 2 dealers who wasted 3 weeks of my time stringing me along, and the 1 who had the nerve to literally laugh and ask me if I was playing a joke before hanging up on me when I faxed over my credit app.). Took a few more weeks of work to figure out exactly what I could afford, then find one in the price bracket.
Now pretty much just killing time until I get the word on Monday that it has 100% passed the DOT and other checks, then I will be flying back to pick it up.
