Not the way you fly, I mean truck along.
I agree it's a nice tradition. when we were growing up it was about 2 weeks before Christmas..

I'm happy for people that can and do carry on things like that.
We had a late Thanksgiving dinner with a couple we know and she makes creamy green bean cassarole and then had the celery with peanut butter wedged in the middle.
She said that was something they had every year for Thanksgiving when she was growing up and she enjoys it for the mememories. I told her my one Grandmother allways made the green bean dish and kinda miss those days.

I miss the Xmas traditions that have stopped since my grandparents passed. Homemade Lefse and Lutefisk on Xmas day. Every New Years day we had homemade potato sausage and glorified rice. I was lucky that my parents and grandparents were young when I was born. I had them until I was in my mid to late thirties.

My older brother and I started one. Turducken on Christmas eve or a Brined ham and then Prime rib on Christmas day. Sometimes its switched between the days but its always one of those 3 now. The ham has been a family tradition for as long as I remember except for when my grandmother would either forget to turn the oven on to cook it or would forget about it and burn it to a char..... Yes it happened more then once. I know for a fact on Christmas eve of 1996 Browns Chicken was open for business!!! LOL

Yeah, the better won out in todays game. Bama played like crap, and therefore they lost. Doesn't get much simplier than that. As long as Ohio doesn't win it all, I'll still be happy. i can't stand them!!!

And Ron, I didn't lose at the casino, I wa splaying on my free credits. i just didn;t win a lot. i walked in with $0 cash and left with $25 lol

    Rontonio Thanks this.
