If you ever pull doubles that is a good workout as well, you get to push the heavy converter dolly and jack up trailers often. That is of course if you don't have a snapped up back.

I saw a couple of black dudes in south carolina doing chin ups using the beams on their car trailer. They pulled out dumbbells and everything. It was an odd sight, but they looked like they were in pretty good shape.
They both looked like freaking Usain Bolt.Last edited: Nov 30, 2013

LMAO......This Thread really on here?? Working out and OTR is like oil and water. Please keep us informed how much WEEKLY weight you gain.
bigjoel and Marksteven Thank this. -
For exercise at the truck stops, walk a couple laps around the buffet table and the smoker's lounge.
Marksteven and GITRDUN45 Thank this. -
of lean meat, fruit and veggies. To loose weight you'll need to restrict your calories so that you are taking in less then you burn. Once you get down to an ideal weight you'll need a diet that takes in the same number of calories you burn. If you work out without watching what you eat you will eat more and weigh more(same fat and more muscle).
Don't become a truck driver till you get in good shape. It's hard to get healthy on the road, but if you get healthy before going out it's a lot easier to maintain.Trakehner Thanks this. -

That is a perfect way of saying it! Reminds me I need to actually start working out before going on the road! LOLLast edited: Dec 1, 2013

Seen everything from yoga on top of the trailer to a guy bench pressing 300 lbs on his bunk mattress in front of his truck.
Really just walking down the road a mile to go out and eat some real food will do wonders
Take your broom handle out and swing it while sitting on the edge of the ts tables
Push on the truck trl
Calf raises on the step
Little things that make you feel alot better after driving 8 hrs straight. Don't need equipment to stay in shape. -
I walk, jog, stretch, and do some exercises with a length of surgical tubing (like a long bungie cord). It's hard to have a regular exercise routine OTR, with a changing schedule, but it is really something that I know I need to start concentrating on in order to maintain alertness and health. It's rare to find a truck stop or terminal that has a gym, so I stick with the bungie cord exercises... it's light, stows away in a small space, and provides good resistance for high reps.

Hilarious! Personally i dont see him getting in better shape while OTR. That takes plenty of Discipline. Lokk at the lousy food that is offered to drivers and the constant snacking due to Boredom
