AT&T or Verizon?

    I am an OTR Driver I am using currently using an LG Venice phone from Boost Mobile I ain't happy with their coverage and the phone has been giving me nothing but problems since August I must've done about 20 factory resets in the last 3 months sometimes my phone doesn't receive texts or phone calls until an hour or two later which is pretty messed up. In certain metro areas I don't get a signal or one or two bars or If I am making a call sometimes the signal drops to nothing. I'm planning dropping them tomorrow for either AT&T or Verizon. I ain't a T-Mobile or Sprint fan. Which them of has the best all around coverage?

    I have had both they both are good but in both i have been in position where neither did pick up nothin is 100%

    Verizion has better coverage in most areas, but the iphone will do much better then the LG. I have the iphone 4s and there arnt to many wholes. It def works great in citys

    I know people who have AT & T and seem to be happy with them. But, I think that Verizon has the best over all coverage. I have been using Verizon for the last couple of years and other than a few areas, the coverage has been decent. You should be able to go to each company's website and check the coverage map to see which might work best for you. At one time AT & T did have a few issues with coverage, but all of the major carriers have some weak areas of coverage.

    Straight talk saves me a ton of money and works well enough. Unlimited everything for $45 per month. Sure beats the big bucks I spent at ATT and Verizon.

    ATT and T-mobile use GSM, which is simplex, where most of the others use CDMA, which gets multiple uses of the same cell at the same time.

    Simplex goes down into holes better, but both drop calls. CDMA works, but can have more glitches, and I use a service that has CDMA voice because ATT is largely useless where I live. I could buy a GSM prepaid, to use elsewhere, but they wouldn't activate it, a friend tried that with Net 10 and they sent him a phone they would activate and he had to return the other one. Net10 and Straight Talk are subsidiary companies of Tracphone.

    Straight Talk is sold by Wal-Mart.

    All networks in rural areas tend to cooperate to provide coverage, and the nationwide prepaid carriers use either the CDMA networks or GSM, but not both with the same devices. Prepaid from a network that provides contract coverage has tended to be limited to only home areas, but I wish that would change. I know of people with both, the friend went back to a contract phone with Verizon, and he now has less glitches but still has some, and he has an I-phone, although I don't think it is even a 4, probably a 3. Stepson is using a GSM Tracphone, and it had no coverage close to where we live.

    Verizon has best coverage. I've used both. Using a Galaxy Note now with Verizon. Satisfied.

    different strokes for different folks.

    in the 15 years i've had cell phones. i've had the best luck with sprint phones. only had one problem with one phone. and that was a refurbished unit on a item getting discontinued. software wipe and load fixed the problems. easily done on a blackberry.

    i now have verizon. have yet to have a good quality phone. i have the verizon note2 now. coverage is much better then the verizon droid bionic. (biggest POS i ever had). i like the note2 for the most part. but gps chip isn't worth a darn. takes 10 minutes after a phone reboot before it starts working.

    i had very good luck with sprint on the east side. on the west. verizon works better.

    if i weren't a traveling man. i'd stay with sprint. unlimited everything for half the price of verizon's limited. also get unlimited mobile to ANY mobile. and off peak starts at 7.

    too bad the govt can't rule the carriers to the same fee structure. i can see the coverage issue. but it's bull for 2 carriers to offer unlimited everything for a low fee. while 2 carriers overcharge on a tier basis.
