How does Epes pay when you p/u in Greensboro and T-call it at the yard?

 

Good question lol that's kinda odd. They couldn't get a local guy to do that? Maybe just pay city pay if there weren't any paid miles on it. Don't think I've ever had one like that before.

 

Seems like it depends on your driver manager ? Mine only pays one mile. Which if I drop there and instead of getting an empty trailer , I get a load it's about the same work. If I'm dead headed in I think it should be local by the hour.

 

Epes still forced dispatch on NYC and the burrows?

 

No forced dispatch to nyc , long island or Canada

 

I am getting closer to graduation from school. It looks like mid or end of January. Can someone give me a more in-depth idea as to what to expect when starting a career with Epes? What do I need to bring for training and what would be nice to have? I do smoke, so will that be a problem? I am local to Greensboro, does that mean my trainer will be also? Is there a best way to keep $$$ available while out on the road? Is there an amount i need to have cash? Trying to cover all the basics and a few luxuries before the day comes and it is "Oh ****! Wish I had brought that!"

Yes . I had to go get tested . But it's most likely going to be part of the DOT card soon.
