question about volvo scanner & work shop manual

Hi All,

Im Michael 31yrs old from Australia and im new here, My brother and I own a few Volvo Fh12, 1 is 1995 420hp d12a, 1996 380hp d12a and 2004 500hp d12d

the 2004 fh12 that we just got, its has nothing but problems, the reason why im posting is i need help with a few things

1. im looking for a good cheap scanner to work on version 1 and 2 hand held or usb to plugs into the lap top
2. i need full work shop manual for the fh12 2004 500hp motor and gear box (VT2514B) as im gonna rip the motor and box out for rebuild, pretty much im gonna rebuild almost everything as the air compressor is stuff too, just did the rebuild on air dyer, its a wabco with an electric governor on the side, list just goes on and on.. its a bloody lemon, hoply we can turn it into a lemonade..
3. has any1 done a version 3 front face lip on to version 2?

im no expert in trucks but like to give it ago and learn as i go along, i have done a few things on trucks b4 like clutches, water pump, header tank, thermostat, air bags etc but nothing big as what im about to do, in cars i have about 12 years experience in motor mechanic and auto electrician which helps me alot with the trucks..

any help/link etc would much be appreciated,
