Well.... It ended up going to the shop for repair via another driver who was here at the same time. He wanted to go to the shop to have his windshield looked at, so this gave him the opportunity to do that. We swapped loads and we are still at TYSON (Trucker You're Staying Over Night), and we are ....staying overnight! Our drop dead time is tomorrow morning. And now we are going to Cheyenne, Wyoming.

I work with a guy that has hit two moose so far the first one cost $22,000 on a Freightliner and the second was $18,000 on the 379 Pete I have now. I had a moose step out of the ditch into the road just South of Tok, AK the other night. Luckily no other traffic so we missed each other since the cow was not in a hurry to make it across in front of me. Made my heart skip a beat or two for sure. When going along Muncho Lake I had 5 or 6 Caribou standing in the road.

I guess it probably depends on were you run to see if it is a good investment. Fuel mileage is not the most important thing in our operation since we idle a lot as well. That is a learning curve for me to not shut down and idle all night, but when you spent the night in the Yukon hours from anywhere it might not be a good idea to shut the truck off.

Do you have a preplan yet? I'm rolling through your neighborhood tomorrow on my way to Ontario.

As soon as I sent my, "Guess who's back?" message in this morning, I got a plan picking up in Yuma going to Temple and New Caney, TX. Supposedly 22,000 pounds too, so might be a good trip to start out the week! Total miles, 1,562.

Just spent 15mi south of Mordor (DC) to 10mi north of Baltimore in bumper to bumper traffic. Different 95 but sounds like same bull stuff.

Saw another JCT in this neck of the woods, heading south from Dumfries VA scale. A sign?
