This load has been one of my least favorite because it's taken so long. I really think when drivers who are paid by the mile are on permit loads we should make a percentage instead. After picking this load up on the 15th, I'll finally be delivering tomorrow.
Good news is I got a preplan. Bad news is it has to be tarped. LOL

But I'm in the shop, again. Oil pump went out this morning. Trotted back to Buffalo. I'm tired of being in the shop so much. When I finally get something fixed, something else happens. I've never had problems with another truck like this. And if I did, the company would've gotten me into another truck and figured out what to do with this one. No such luck though. This is my third time in a shop in less than a month, all for different reasons. I told Erin I want them to go over the truck with a fine tooth comb. I've got about 4 items on the list already besides the oil pump.
Anyway, sorry about ranting. It's been dead here lately. -
DJ, dont feel bad... I'm under my own load from hell. Got sent to pharr from laredo on the 26th, couldnt pick it up until the 2nd. Finally got it and my permits, and guess what... Im overweight 88900 gross, so re order permits again... get almost to the tx/la line where im picking up my escort and BAM!! Blowout on the trailer, wait two hours and im on the road again... yesterday and today go fine, until I'm doing my post trip... and what do I hear? Why a hissing coming from one of my drives... yup, picked up a piece of metal as I was parking, and now im waiting on another road service to fix the slow leak...ugh. Cant wait to get rid of this load.

Where ya headed with that load DD? I hate having to play the waiting game for anything.
I just got out of the shop. APU still isn't blowing any air from the vents. Otherwise she's running good. I've been told the receiver doesn't do Friday deliveries so it looks like I'll be in Columbia, SC all weekend. Speaking of the waiting game. Have a preplan but who knows if I keep it. -
Picked up a dozer out of Atlanta going to Austin.
