Well here goes I belong to a few forums, Not many but new to this one and this is my first post. Hope not to be last.
I have been driving for some years but never with a large carrier. Im thinking about a few now but have one question. at orientation do you bring your current medical card or do they send you out for a exam like in the past? I have a current one and am willing to bring it. The laws have changed and Im just not sure what to expect. I would rather use my own. The P.A. I see for my exam is cheap and understands I would rather use a eye chart.
Medical card question

Some carriers are fine if you bring in your long form, others will send you out to their Dr. (which they should pay for if they insist upon using!) to get a fresh one done.

Yea Thanks. I was looking around at some carriers, Seems like what you said some do and some dont.

FYI after you get that new updated med certification go straight to your local dmv and show them the new info so they can add it to your cdl
-
Do I have to do that whenever I get a new one? I Thought I just had to have one everytime I renewed? Here in Oklahoma that will be a 2.0 hour wait!
-
Yep every time you get a new physical you have to report it to your States dmv. Some let u do it online.

Yep done went got physical and faxed it to them they called back and verified. Its actually a easy ordeal. And I like the idea of me getting my own physical as opposed to a companies physical or chosen doctor.
