I purchased a new 2970n2 from Bob's CB, with mods and a precision alignment of all section. From my 1st phone call to his staff who answered all my questions with professionalism, to the "Craftsmanship" of his work ( example: each switch for the mods he installed on the back of the unit, he professionally marked each switches function ) I could tell I was dealing with top notch operation. The unit arrived professionally packed, without a mark on it, and the radio was so nicely put back in the original packing, you could not even tell he had it out of the box. In addition, I could tell how well it was "precision aligned" the moment I turned it on! I am proud to have a radio that was tuned and modded by a true icon in the CB / Amateur hobby. Great job Bob, of Bob's CB...and staff too....

Nope! Just got back into this hobby, after being out of it for 10+ years. Started with my 1st CB back in the 60's when I was just a kid. I have been in and out over the years, but now I am back in. I purchased the same model radio from another dealer, and I returned as it was a poor product and experience. My 2nd shot was buying from Bob's, as I knew his reputation for 40+ years. I just want to share a positive experience, for anyone that may need a trusted dealer to purchase from (which is hard to find in this hobby)! Bob's CB does not need any phoney reviews, anyone who has been in this hobby dating many years back knows his reputation. I just wish I would have thought of him 1st. My bad....

I'll second Bobs is a good shop. He swapped my red display for a blue display on my General Lee when the Strykers first came out (way before you could buy one with blue lights). That was probably 7-8 years ago and still going strong.

I was warned about Bob having "the personality of a 2x4", before I ever went there. Then I had a chance to go in and saw the guy sitting on his stool working on one radio after another, like a machine. I was asked by someone else if I needed help and said I had a question. I was told "Bobs kinda busy right now". After about 20 minutes he stopped, asked what I wanted to know, he answered my question and then went right back to fixing radios.

    Focused.

    I wasn't put off.

I putchased a ranger rci 2950 dx off him in 2009 ' I found him to be drole that's an Irish saying, I tried to get some friendly banter going but he wasn't interested .the majority of Americans usually like to engage as they find the Irish humour interesting but this guy had the charisma of a wet rag ' but the radio worked perfectly still have it to this day his store was just across from a truckstop I was driving from New York to Chicago👍

Are we talking about the guy off I-80 in Western PA? Forget the exit number. I think it's just west of Brookville?
