This story is most definitely unbelievable. I still cant believe it.
And no, I was driving uphill at the time!
Thanks for your post and the chuckle!
Navajo Express has just abandoned this trainee in a tiny town 1500 miles from home!

That's sweet, thank you for your thoughts. I'm wondering if someone might be coming through this little town on their way west. I'll buy all the food, cigs, and coffee he or she needs, and Im an excellent driver! lol well, I am pretty good, just need a little help with blind-side backing...
If someone would like to talk to me about this possibility, let me know. This is a plea to the Community. I'm not yet so discouraged I'm going to walk away from the industry. I've wanted to become a driver for a long time. You guys are great!! -
JUSTPj I am wondering if you can find a way home? I am concerned that you are not going to be able to get home?
JustPj Thanks this. -
When you make it back to Denver, apply at May Trucking Co. They will treat you much more decently.

Hi, BHW, thank you so much for the tips. Please read the other response for the rest of the story. The state trooper spoke to someone at dispatch and he reported that "they want you off truck." Now this was a night dispatcher who does not have authority to fire me, but in any event, the Company must be held responsible to help get me back home regardless of my termination. I was still an employee when I pulled the truck over because of the volatile situation happening, and I've called DOT, the Dept of Labor, but not OSHA yet. I know I have grounds for a civil suit, and they've forced my hand to find a lawyer. All they had to do was the right thing: cover the cost of the motel and make sure I get home safely.
Please let me know if I can answer any other questions. I understand perfectly why anybody would be skeptical about this story. I'll repeat it again; even I cannot believe this has happened. It's a nightmare -
Thank you for your post, Mr. Jade! There's a bus station in Ellensburg, too, and that's about 20 miles east, so I could probably make my way there. My concern is what do I do with all my stuff? I didn't bother to just pack a nice, small bedroll and a few things as I live in Denver and the terminal is 12 miles from my home. As I was with a female trainer, I took advantage of the fact she would understand why I brought as much as I did. That's my fault, and I'm kicking myself for it!
Thanks again for your help! -
I wish I could do more. I have a pal passing through Boise, but he's headed in the wrong direction.
blairandgretchen and JustPj Thank this. -
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, drozzer.

Let alone have the Company back her up! So this is what it feels like to be a whistleblower...
Lux Prometheus and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Thank you, my thoughts exactly. I wonder if he knows what's going on in mid-level management? I will be writing him a letter, but what are these people thinking? That I'll just go away? Oh, she's in Washington, whew! Another issue we don't have to deal with... ????
