The entire process is pretty quick.Most everyone I talk to or help get in have good experiences in speed of process. We have a top notch driver force and they don't just hire anyone. they actually do all the checks and that does take some time but well worth it if you get on.

Of course Im sure sometimes things happen as not everything can be perfect but Im sure they would look into any issue you may have in regards to the process taking to long.

new bonus program goes into play in jan. 2014 so not sure. i just know it can pay $250.00 per month or $3,000.00 per year. which should be good. the one we have now pays $300.00 per quarter or $1,200.00 per year. im excited about it. major factors are idle % and fuel compliance but also includes csa score, non comformaces created by yourself and other things. They said if it was in affect right now 92% or more deivers would hit it but im waiting to see. i likethe monthly pay out because if you miss it one month your not out for the next 3 you get a fresh slate the next month.

What do you have to Idle at to be in Compliance?

 

each region is different, not sure. next time im in I'll find out but thg company says they want drivers to be comfortable. they dont or never will expect anyone to freeze or burn up while in the truck. I always do well but I cut the truck off any chance I can and dont leave it running while im inside somewhere like I see some drivers on the yard. I think they just expect you to be smart about it. Think of it like its your money burning that gallon an hour while idling. That what I do.

 

Do any of the Tractors have APU units on them? Was looking at when the mileage kicks in at 50 cents loaded... Is it possible to reach that number in 6-8 months from hire date?If I get hired,how long do we go out with a Trainer and are the Tractors Flat tops or Midroof's?

 

tractors vary, lots of different trucks so not aure what you will get. Most of the new trucks have APUs

You train for 2 weeks at the terminal. Then you run a week or 2 on your own local or regional. Then you can go out and run from there however as long as your picking up on how to do the job. So really just 2 weeks or so with someone else in your hip pcket.

 

Ok,cool.Being out of the Ft.Worth terminal,which direction would I run?

 

If you are out of Ft Wirth you could probably run about anywhere. We have a ton of freight out if Texas.
