I called them a month ago. My truck is a 2003 model. They didn't seem to have a problem with it.
It costs me about $.83/mile to run my truck. So, I could make money there. But I can most likely do better somewhere else. Also, 80 percent of their freight is in eastern states. No Thanks.

That's crazy. so more less at .90 pm you actually be making .07 PM . Just can't comprehend why anyone would do this and doing this for them? This really has my mind boggled.
-
whats the surprise, the are thousands of upon thousands of guys doing lease purchase deals at .90 plus fuel surcharge. I don't see it either.
-
I'm flabbergasted . 7cpm at 3K miles a week is gross 210.00. And have to pay insurance on top not even including payment on a truck. Even if owned the truck out right you still prob have at least 7K a year in insurance. I must be missing something somewhere. Cause I major at math and something not adding up here but negative income here.

Well at .90 plus fuel surcharge at .44 = $1.34. Still I wouldnt get involved with anything even similar to that. I have "heard" the fuel discount is unbelievable, as in like $2 per gallon less than pump price. This was just one of those stories that I heard one time and have no idea how true it is. Then again it is the only way I see those numbers working for anybody.
As well oiled as UPS and FedEx are I could see them negotiating and having the purchase power far greater than anyone else, plus terminals all over the place to fuel at, etc in order to get that kind of a discount....Somebody let us know if they figure out. I am still popping popcorn waiting on Carguy to let us know what he did with the driver that was stealing fuel.Amberwest62 Thanks this. -
Well the only weekly deductions will be your truck payment(if you have one), your fuel and your Insurance....No Trailer rental...No Fuel tax...No Base Plate...No ########!!!! So figure......90 cpm + .46 cpm FSC=$ 1.36 per mile x 3000 miles = $4080. My truck payment is $500 per week...My insurance is $175 per week. I am only getting 5mpg and only using 600 gallons on 3000 miles to equal = $2280 per week in fuel! Ok so lets see how this calculates...$4080 (per week revenue) Minus $2280 (fuel cost) = $1800 - $500 = $1300- $175 = $1125. Now Tax it!!! $1125 x 0.15 (15%) = $168.75. $1125- $168.75 =$956.75 Free and clear!!! You just made $49,751.00 NET Bring home this year for a Drop and hook job without Trailer rental....UPS pays within 48 hours of receipt of paperwork.... If you operate 6 days at a time at 10 hours per day, take the 7th day off everytime...you will never run out of hours...nor will you ever have to take a restart....You do what you want to...I'm taking my drug test on Monday...See you out there!!!!!
PhillipFlanders Thanks this. -

What about breakdowns and repairs? Subtract that off of your $49,751.00.......... As an O/O that's terrible money... You can do much better as a company driver without the hassle... Good luck with that one...cisco, Nava-jo x press, JimmyWells and 6 others Thank this.

Maint, tires, repairs will take up a good bit of that $49K and how about depreciation? Sounds like buying a substandard job to me
