Altoona, Iowa at the casino. Dinner was good, even though I ate too much.

I was talking about by the 20-30k mile mark, not the 53k mile mark when the camshaft got replaced under warranty.
My mpg AND power went up in stages after @10k miles. Seemed like every 4-5k it gave me a bit more of both.

In Grand Island this evening, after the trailer steering quit when leaving Watertown this morning while it was -14 without the windchill (heard the windchill was between -25 to -35).
After some fiddling around, it became clear the circuit board didn't like the cold weather. So we used the corded remote and gave my new steer car a heart attack trying to drive, steer, and watch the blade etc. She did an excellent job. Caused a rather large backup at 5mph from the truckstop to I29, and another one when we got off 80 to get into here. Oh well....
New remote and circuit board supposed to be here at the Pilot via airfreight tomorrow. fingers crossed

Freezing my tucass off in Weatherby Ok. Just finished getting loaded. Leaving in AM for oil fields in ND. Yeah boy,.. I cant wait. The 7f or so degree it is here right now will feel like a spring day compared to the lows at night up there this time of year.

I wish I could survive hauling just local Florida loads for the winter.

Been running Texas US 59 area all week up and down. Get a Lufkin to Houston off tomorrow morning then go camp at Baytown for the weekend with the Mercer retirees.

The cold weather done found me hiding out down here and came to get me.

Why don't shippers use the load boards? Are they that lazy that they'd consistently pay 30% or whatever higher shipping rates? Do they not know they exist?

I just don't understand for all the people whining about low rates, why shippers don't take advantage and seem to be happy to let someone else make more money off them.
