So I was driving home from Chicago to Milwaukee last night about 10pm on 294 (8 lanes). I was in the second lane from the right, cruise control set at 60 mph minding my own business when this FedEx truck comes up and starts tailgating me about three feet off my rear and flashes his lights a couple times. Seriously?! So anyway, I gently slowed his butt down then took off again and set my cruise back at 60. A few minutes later, here he comes again, in the third lane (which trucks aren't supposed to be in) barreling past me (I got some nice pictures of him so I have his truck number) and continues to fly down the road at about 15 over the speed limit.

Seriously I would expect better from a FedEx driver... you'd think you'd try a little harder to keep your job than that? From the sounds of it there is no shortage of others willing to take your place.

By the way, I couldn't find any way to report a driver on the FedEx website or on their trucks?

So you were in the truck fast lane? You should have moved to the right because it isn't safe for faster trucks to pass on the right. You need to learn some courtesy.

I've yet to see a fedex driver that ain't tryin to kill everyone and themselves barreling down the road. I swear I think most of em forget their pulling doubles.

    Wut? :biggrin_25517:

Was some part of what you said supposed to be any kind of excuse for a truck going 15 over the speed limit and tailgating four wheelers?

No but you were hogging the lane. Have you ever seen the signs that say "Slower traffic keep right except to pass"? It doesn't matter if your running the speed limit, if someone faster comes up on you GET OVER.

so the speed limit was 50 mph ? I agree with above ...esp if your a driver in your 4 wheeler ... We're not allowed in lanes 3 & 4 and shouldn't pass on the right ??? So you slowed his ### down then speed up ?? How did that work out for you ?

Oh never mind ....I just noticed your a student ...you students know it ALL !

I think he was in the correct lane. The farthest right lane exits almost every exit.So why not stay in the second to the right lane to be on the safe side.Besides 8 lanes, its not like the fed ex driver didn't have his pick of the lanes.

Don't us just love how these students know it all. He sound like a jerk for his stupid stunt he pulled.

4 on each side pattyj and the left 2 are restricted to trucks.

I'm not even going to argue with you man. Anyone who tailgates in a truck at 60+ MPH deserves to lose their CDL forever. Period.
