So I have been with the big blue screw for 16 months now and the last 8 months as an Owner Operator. It's time to move on and find a company that can keep me moving without all the games and ######## I have faced here. Only problem I have is, how do I get out of this stupid contract crap with the big blue screw so I can move on to a better company that actually gives a #### about its drivers and pays them better than what I have experienced here ?

    Skydivedavec and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Why did you become an O/O with little exp and one of the worst paying companies in the industry. They pay teams 34 cpm split. What would make you think O/O are going to get paid big bucks.Belive me I know their games,I drove for them for 3 long yrs.Wish I had a positive answer for you.Hopefully somebody does.

if he was an o/o. he'd be taking his truck with. and not be worrying about his contract.

I went O/O because they have restricted the trucks so much and half the time the smart idle does not work at all. I have a cpap and refridgerator that I use all the time. I am usually gone for months on end and buying a truck seemed to be the better option....... I guess as a former driver with them, you know just how long it takes to get the truck fixed with the company. I never thought I would get the big bucks, just hoped for a respectable living. Which is not where im at now.........

Wish I had some good advice for you, always been a company driver. I worked for Werner after graduating from Roadmaster, but was let go due to an unpreventable, investigation and waiting 30 days before coming back only to be told I needed more experience as was too cautious. Too cautious, what's that, that's like saying I"m too safe. Oh guess I should have been reckless and uncaring like many of the bad drivers I've heard about that work for Werner. Not saying you are, but I wish you the best and good luck.

This is not a good enough reason to lease.

Check your contract. You may have a walk away lease but you have to get notice. Every company is different there is no blanket answer
