Welcome to your new career; I've delivered in Paris, KY many times. TMC and PGT both good. Also look at Melton Truck Lines and Maverick. Melton has the best healthcare benefits for driver & family.

    Good dry van companies:

    Watkins & Shepard
    Paschall Truck Lines
    Ozark Motor Lines

You forgot to add you signature, Chinatown.
Get all endorsements, TWIC, and passport.
Personally, I think it's mostly junk, but they do have benefits, if it's what you want to do.

Yea I have read that passport and twic will be needed. I have another question I live in ky but have a girl friend that lives on the west coast and would like to see her on my weekends off or when ever I have time off. How hard or what would be the best plan or company to go with to be able to go to the west coast when wanted? Is this even possible?
Melton I haven't looked in too much but maverick does seem like they have the best pay my over all plan it to become an o/o , but can't make my mind up to start off as a company driver or a l/o

Yes regular West Coast runs are possible, and you can go every week if you run teams. The problem there is your team mate might not want to hang out in CA/West Coast while you visit unless your girlfriend has a girlfriend!

Start as a company driver; then later move into owner-operator vs. lease driver.
Some companies give you hometime anywhere you want it. Ask about this.

Gordon Trucking Inc. drivers seem to go to the West Coast a lot. Living in KY & wanting time off on the West Coast, you need to find a 48 state carrier that let's you take time off where you want it. If you're interested in Melton, ask if you can take home time on the West Coast.
