I wonder if a Detroit shop would have eaten the labor if you'd used them?

Yep however it would have taken 3-4 days to get in and have it done by the incompetent morons at the Orlando Detroit shop. They are the same folks that told me i needed a bottom end, then revised to injectors, before they finally found the real problem of the turbo's exhaust side fan was shattered. It only took 4 days to figure that out with symptoms of low boost except at very high rpms with a fresh air to air on the truck.

Wow. Pulling the pipe on the turbo inlet would have shown that it wasn't spooling up.

Still trying to find out I am losing the prime. Pulled the injectors and had them tested. Found that three were bad. Replaced two of them and had one fixed. The one that was fixed needed a selenoid gasket.

Still losing the prime though. So I am still trying to figure this one out. Downtime is killing me now.

Wondering if my difficulty in getting started after days off is due to this. Truck won't start and the filter seems to need changing fast once it's started. As of right now it's not starting. I changed fuel pump for new one last time and started right up. Next day trouble. I unscrewed star cap on Davco as advised and level dropped about a quarter inch in globe immediately. From there it dropped very slowly. So slow I had to mark a reference point to notice. So is my trouble most likely check valve at Davco?

Timing reference sensor is most likely culprit. 82 dollars and fifteen minutes.
