Nervous? I'm excited . . . and, well, maybe a little nervous. Big step to quit a job (albeit a horrible one) and launch out to a strange place all alone and do something totally different. But we will be in it together! I just keep watching the news about the dreadful snow storm and the 18 hour stuck in traffic and think, "yeah, and in a month I'll be driving in that!"

I'm in the same boat as you guys, excited but nervous. I rather go thru training in the worst winter conditions with a trainer for Primes PSD and TnT training. Instead of not having a trainer there and hoping for the best.

My student has driven in many conditions in the past several days; mountain, city, highway, snow, wind... No bad ice yet.

Excellent! The weather reports and news make it look pretty bad. I have driven in snow and ice and even a white-out blizzard once in Wisconsin and Michigan when the road was closed but I didn't know it. That was in a 5 speed auto, though - obviously not a big rig. Slow and careful got me there safely.

I'm waiting on a call from the recruiter on Monday, but everything is looking good for a January 7th start date. I was looking at Greyhound tickets for January 6th just to get an idea of trip times and what-not, and it looks like it's going to be 1am or 8pm on the 6th, so I'll be on the 1am 12hour ride from Springfield, IL to SpringMO. 12 hours to get 4 1/2 hours lol....oh well, I'm really excited to get going. As long as nothing changes, I'll see you there!

Yeah I don't care if the bus ride is 100 hours, I'm taking the ride no matter what.

    TruckinWithJosh Thanks this.

We should link up when down there. Ill be in Springfield January 2. But I gotta do the permit classes cause I wasn't paying $200 for a permit test and DOT physical since Prime has their own dot dr. So ill just save the money for training.
