Now I know you're telling stories. The trucks may be dirty due to the once-a-month wash policy (special permission required for more often) but they are maintained. In fact the trucks have to go in
the shop every 10, 000 miles per the PACCAR lease agreement and the trailers hit the shop every time they go to a terminal

man, I see three to four trucks and chassis at the UPRR ramp in Denver 5 days a week. Today, I hit the ramp about 12:15 pm, there were two of them waiting on flip/billing. One was a daycab the other a sleeper. The chassis being pulled by the daycab only had one working flasher on the back and the chassis wouldn't stretch, the slider release was broken. It shouldn't have been on the road, he was not bridge legal with it, 45,000 lbs on the tridem, he's only allowed 44,000. When I saw him a short while later at the depot picking up a box, one of his twist locks was broken as well, there was nothing to keep it locked. Guess what, that's an automatic, do not pass go, OOS violation, requiring a roadside repair. The depot manager refused to load him as a result. Maybe as you describe that's how they treat the OTR chassis and tractors, but that sure isn't how they treat the cattle trailers or the intermodal chassis.

"Within my first 5 months I had a trailer catch fire and a preventable accident. Granted these incidents were not my fault"
Just curious but wouldn't a "preventable accident" be your fault by definition? -
Oh. I do OTR. Those cattle truck guys are, uhhh...different

Anger issues? What anger issues lol?
Wingnut1 Thanks this. -
Here we go again with you. Did you really say "he probably"? You have been with JBS long enough to know that they throw anyone under the bus any chance they get. Right now, they are doing mass driver layoffs. I know this because I was one of them. After 1.5 years, a perfect record, I was shown the door. I have been reading your post for some time now and I can say two things about you. First, you try to make facts by pulling them out of your #%^. Second, you are completely blind about JBS and have a loyalty to a company that can care less about you. In the time I've been here, this is the second mass driver layoff I have seen. So tell me again what a great company this is.

For everyone else, they say they are turning the entire company into regional and everyone not living in either 50 miles or so from one of their meat plants or not living off of I-80 is getting canned. What I find funny is every driver that I know of that has been laid off, was at the top of the pay scale. Real scumbags in middle management here.
-
So you go on every JBS Thread and cry because you got canned. Dude get real. I guess that load from Hyrum, to Bronx was for a regional guy? Guess I'll let you know if I get canned Monday when I drop this load off. This Brand new truck I just got in December with 36 miles on now it has over 22,000 is going to miss me. Guess I better start putting out apps. Beer slave says we all are going o get canned
lol
-
Crying? No, I'm laughing. Like most drivers here, I wanted out and JBS paid me to leave. Did I say everyone is getting canned? No I did not. Are they keeping long haul runs? I was told they are. Again, you are speaking on a subject you know nothing about. Stop giving your opinion as fact and grow up. The reason I am posting about this is to give a heads up to other drivers so they won't be caught off guard like I was. So do yourself a favor and stop mouthing off about something you know absolutely nothing about.
