Back in the 80's I had a set of mirrored sunglasses I couldn't read my gauges in a day cab!

The hell with the knobs, i used to drive a mack with a massive steering wheel and when trying to crank the wheel fast while taking a turn, i would #### near break my fingers on the pillar between the door and the windshield. Anybody else ever catch a finger on that pillar? hurts like hell for sure!

I don't get the "no air in the seats thing" low riders make it seem like they have a 8ft hood?

I had one of those when i drove a towtruck it was very useful in the areas i had to drive in like repo lots, car dealerships, auctions where everything is packed in like sardines.used it on a 4 car hauler as well going to the same places. Ran with it for years never broke a finger or caught a sleeve. The only times i ever hurt my hands was chaining cars down and thats required

I see a lot of young guys riding real low in their trucks. I guess you would call them lowriders, I don't have any thing against them the picture just popped in my head and made me laugh. :biggrin_25519:

Well in truth I'm petty sure the bull haulers started the low rider trend years ago, but some people like me can't stand a lot of air in that seat. I have always stayed low or at the bottom of the air ride for this reason. The 386 I'm in now, I just keep enough air to keep it
from bottoming out and that seems to work ok. Don't like my head in the clouds personally. I would rather bottom out than slam my head in the roof.

I generally don't use them. I also remove them when I come across one. Those things can break bones before you know it when you are crawling across a little wee curb back in the old days of non power steering. You developed the brawn necessary to rotate those #### wheels sitting still prior to backing. It's good for a young man.

Today's trucks can be turned with a finger. Come on now you wussies. lol.
