Does anyone know how much it would cost to install fog lights on a 2005 Freightliner Columbia? My daycab does not have them. Would have been helpful the other day.

Are you talking about the white lights that come with some freightliners, or the actual yello fog lights you can buy from a truck stop and bolt to bottom of bumper?

It's one of them things you get what you pay for. They start around $30 up to around $300. Most come with the necessary hardware which includes a switch, relay and wire.

You can do a search on Amazon, ebay, Walmart or any parts store.

Here's a typical wiring diagram which should be included with the lights. You really don't need an indicator light unless you want one. You could use a switch that lights up.

Roger that lab, I thought you did. Just so many people call those white lights fog lights, just wanted to be sure. You can go to any freightliner dealer and buy them. I don't know off hand how much they cost but probably not too expensive. The wiring should already be on the truck. May have to pay someone to install a switch but the headlight switch is what controls turns them on. Just don't know if your truck came with that particular switch.

I am assuming you have the removable inserts in the front bumper, and you will have to inspect the wiring harness to make sure the connections are present. I'm not sure if you can add an additional switch into the dash and use the factory wiring. If not, you would have to find the male connectors to make these work, as they are a factory drop in.

They are an amber driving lamp and look very nice on the truck.

If you have nothing to work with, an aftermarket kit will be your best bet, but it will be a lot of work, since you are going to have to run everything.
