TCI in Phoenix, Interviewed me and then they sent me for a road test, passed that, Then I got back to the yard with a guy and he went in got me a pee test and physical paperwork, I went the next day to take the pee test and physical and he told me when I get this stuff back that he wanted to take copies of it so to bring it to him so he can copy it, Little did I know that when I brought back what was now my "DOT Physical information" That they would keep it, The lady up front told me that "Because I could go acrossed the street to get a job with a brand my DOT card and physical and that the company paid for it, that they keep that information until I get into Orientation and am hired" I said no it belongs to me, It does not belong to them no matter who paid for it, I had a Valid DOT card and Physical, I didn't need theirs, This one supersedes my old one so it is mine, after several hours of emailing folks, and bringing into it guys in Ca. I received my paperwork and have a new DOT and Physical. I tried to reach these guys who were there but they are no longer there, If Pavement Pounder can expound on MCH out of Phoenix I would appreciate that. Thanks.

TCI has several different accounts to drive with- And no the Phoenix location is not closing, they have abundant drivers but like with any company there are times when good drivers are hard to find. They have positions that are local, regional and team dedicated. The pay is good and so are the benefits. They have a livestock account that is a team gig and they will train and certify you in hauling pigs and that pays roughly $1000 a week per driver and your home pretty much every 3 or 4 days.
And if any of you are wondering yes, I was an employee there. I was the Manager of Recruiting in Phoenix and was let go... But I can still say that TCI is a great company to work for... -
If you are who I think you are you should tell the rest of the story as to why you DIDNT get hired...

My brother in law does the livestock thing with them and loves it no problems.

I started with TCI when they opened the account to haul pigs. It was a great job. It's a slip seat operation(1 guy picks up and the other delivers). $190 per day picking up and $205(deliver side gets an extra $15 because they have to stop for a wash out) a day delivering regardless of the number of hours you work that day. I think my best run was at 9.5 hours, but it averaged around 11 over all. They also offer(or did) a safety bonus. The health benefits where a little pricey, but not over the top for the industry. However, I chose to go work in the oil fields. If not for that, I would likely be running with them still. I don't think any of the "original" 10 drivers are still there though...we started with 5 trucks, I don't know if they expanded since then.

TCI isnt a bad company at all. It just depends on where you live and what account you get on. Some are better than others.
-
Don't do it. I worked there for less than a month and they fired me 5 days before I got my first check from the sign on bonus. I did nothing wrong, just dispatch and safety did not like me because I spoke the truth and caught them in lies.
-
So, they just fired you? Were you dispatched out of Texas? I seriously doubt you were fired for nothing.
