Return to ACT (American Central Transport)

I'm doing ok. . Sure some are doing better and some worse..

I just finished talking to an ACT driver here at the yard. . He stated that he was struggling financially and was 900 $ in the hole as of this week? !

During our conversation he said that he started with ACT in October. . Took a week off for deer season. . Then took another week off for Thanksgiving. . And plans on taking another week off for Christmas. Hmmm I wonder why he's in the hole.

I'm dispatched leaving tomorrow from KC going to St Bernard OH for Saturday delivery. .Yea! I'll get another load in before payroll cuts off Monday.

Be safe. . We're supposed to start getting freezing rain.

 

Well he was confident that he would turn it around. . If he will stay out and run he should be back in the black with ACT in a few weeks.

Bad thing is. . All your other bills get behind while catching up the truck payment. . And that's when people get frustrated and quit. .Vicious cycle.

I woke up to the pitter patter of freezing rain on the truck. ..loading now and will chase the storm across I70..

Have I mentioned that I hate winter. . Be safe

 

I loaded in kcks and delivered in St Bernard OH.. then I dead headed 326 miles to Plano IL.. did a drop/hook and spent the night on their yard.

I slept good, the blankets were that perfect temperature and I didn't want to climb out of the bunk. . Then I realized why.. Freakin 13 deg. .Brrrr

I did my pretrip (kicked the tires) and away I went. . Loaded 313 miles for delivery by Dayton OH.

After I deliver I'm preplanned on a load picking up in Florence KY delivering in St Joseph Mo for as soon as I can get there. .

Closer to home and a little warmer. . If I deliver before tomorrow night I'll have 3, 000 miles for the week. . If not I'll have 2, 400. Not bad, when I left the yard Friday morning I only had 1, 000.. Thanks Canida!
