Does the auto-start wake you up and keep you up? I had a problem with that. As soon as I heard the tone I was up, engine cranks and I can't get back to sleep. I had to stop driving because of it. I guess I never thought about asking for a truck without it though.
I want to come back and do flatbed, but stay out west. Now all I need to do is convince them to take me back on and send me to AZ.

Marker lights help, but not much. Leave your lights on, and tape/hang something over them so you dont blind the poor fella across from you at the TS (i've used cardboard). As a side note, my buddy swears by electric blankets in his prostart, but I havent used one myselfLast edited: Dec 13, 2013

Sometimes, but then I just go back to sleep. When I look at the Qualcomm in the morning it has usual gone through more cycles than I noticed while sleeping.

Nice to catch up with Goblue. Just talked with a new driver here in KY in his first couple weeks solo. Said he'd had close calls but hadn't hit anything yet. Sounds familiar...
goblue and technoroom Thank this. -
The only thing that bothered me (in my whopping 7 days OTR) was when the non smoking trainer decided to smoke in the cab with the window cracked just a bit in the middle of the night. That was fantastic. I should also say while sleeping, because I'm very uncomfortable when I'm not in control in a vehicle.

Today starting out like yesterday ended. Get to the shipper this morning only to realize I don't have a pu #. Request one, 90 mins later it comes. Go in and dude says "you're not even on the list for today." Awesome.... Now waiting to see how we resolve this. I'm ready to just go back home and tap into my Miller Lite supply and call it a year..
Bayle, jeepnut_nh, Meltom and 2 others Thank this. -
Been thinking about getting one or two of those. Marker lights have been helping.
I wonder what the moron who programmed this thing was thinking?!?! It knows when voltage is too low to keep the bunk heater going, but it has to go even lower before the auto start works, what kind of logic is that?
The two events should be simultaneous.
