i asked for full truck load rate for a rate for 1 full truckload whatever we could fit on it, he quoted me 8900 on one full truck load not two truck loads for that price i can fly down and drive each back up. if that was for two truck loads it wouldn't be so far out there. he told me with larger vehicles we might only be able to get 6 on one truck.

i haven't purchased the vehicles yet i have a opportunity to buy a lot more than 10 but i have to get transport cost figured out before i can commit to it. I'm not a car hauler so that's why i'm asking questions.

    This is a funny post!

Your going to pay a premium to get cars hauled up to the middle of no where.

Why would a car hauler haul cars up there for $2 per mile when a freight hauler woukdnt haul a load of freight up there for $2 per mile? Atleast the freight hauler can find something cheap leaving. The car haulers going to haul snow out of n dakota this time of year with a peice of equipment thats going up to about $300, 000 new now days. Im also guessing the vehicles your buying are not all going to be small to midsize cars so you can go ahead and scratch the 10 cars on one load idea out of your head. Just like you dont wanna work for free dont expect others to either.

Then tack on insurance for a stinger valued anywhere between $150,000 - $250,000 then average cargo at $350,000+. This stuff is NOT cheap...

A real car hauler can haul 2 p/u and 8 cars no problem, unless they are big cars then you get two loads. Did 2 & 8 lots of times.

No one in their right mind moves cars for 2 mile. 5 a mile should be a min. and to ND I doubt anyone rebuttable would do it for that!

    Gitana Thanks this.

Just guessing, but are the pickups 1 ton models like a dodge 3500? extended cab? Diesel? load count goes down very fast, 6 or 7 on a load with cars mixed in. 8900 might be a little high, but in this business you have to get paid to afford the expenses of running a costly vehicle.
