I'd be on the lookout for anything labeled OTR with Hunt.
Local News around here (Northwest Arkansas) is claiming that they're slashing OTR-related Driving AND Office positions and lowering their outlook on Q1-08 Mind you I only saw it run by on the television yesterday, but it still caught my attention.

How goes driving the trains, D?
Are the rails rising like a phoenix? Or will all the freight be handled in the future by the trucking company in Phoenix? -
And if anyone believes that I have some beachfront property in Montana to sell them. -
It's beautiful Tip. See lots of countryside and city too. the only bad part i could think of is getting out in the summer or winter to go 100 cars back to check if the Defect Detector caught a bad axle or something (Hotbox Detector) or if a coupler knuckle broke and I had to carry a 75-lb Knuckle some 150 cars back.
I know it's not that efficient Mack, but picture you, in a corporate office, and throwing out your past as a driver. Would you rather send trucks out there at 3.80/gallon and back, keep in mind Multiple Trucks from every company badge you see on a train going out and back....including some of the newbies at JBHT, Schneider, Roehl, CRST, etc. The big reason for trains is to cut down on Driver salaries (and insurance, unemployment, etc), fuel, truck maintenance, and as an unintended side effect- Traffic. Imagine if trucks handled every boat that comes into Long Beach....from Port to Customer....
Yes the rails are definitely on the rise. Seems like everyone including us and BNSF are either building new lines or rebuilding double-track mains. heck, where I used to live at, BNSF (former BN, Burlington Route, CB&Q) is rebuilding it Double-track through the way in Northern Illinois (Savanna, IL to Chicago) Plus, i don't know if you've been paying attention, but lately the Trucking Company based in Phoenix has been turning more and more intermodal loads...Just watch the next time you see a train pass by. I've seen England, Swift, Central Transport, even Old Dominion and Prime next to the regulars of Schneider, Hunt, and UPS. -
I think the rails are gonna make a BIG comeback. It'll be this and 'mandatory' teaming in OTR for the freight that does move long-distance via 18 wheels.
People think the rails are up against a capacity ceiling and won't be able to handle much more of an increase in demand. I say those folks see the world as being static where nothing changes. Reality is about the complete opposite.
If the rails are wanted, new lines will be built. And those lines will be built in a hurry. In the roaring 20s, large parts of the southeast didn't have electricity. Then came the depression and the TVA. Look what that program accomplished in just a few years.
Anybody who thinks the world is static is somebody who needs to get educated real quick. If the powers that be want more rails, you'd better believe rail capacity could increase by 50% in three years. -

can u find a job 4 someone whith a felony

You'll have to be more specific, as your ability to get a job depends on the answers to certain questions:
1. When did it happen?
2. What exactly was the nature of the crime?
3. Is the person on probation now? -
P.S. I'm not a recruiter just a regular old company driver and I know my company will hire people with that problem
