How come semi-trucks don't have heavy-duty Auto transmissions?

    I just got done with driving school had 8 speed 10 speed and auto shift we had to learn in all three plus use junky cabovers LOL

    I would not let most of these young pups drive my pickup truck. I think many of them are just runnin from the law anyways.

    Here in Sweden the auto is prefered mainly in trucks that has a lot of drivers because the auto has the same mpg even with an recless (spelling?) driver...

    But i would not prefer it to my fullysyncd. manual. because if i keep my mind to it i can drive the man. cheaper than the auto.


    Here in Sweden the "Fullsize" Volvo´s is avaiable from 480hp (13liter) to (many variants in between) 660hp (16liter) BUT the 660hp engine is only sold with autogearbox.. beacuse they belive the driver would break the axles with an manual gearbox...

    How much does carrier pay drivers over there. Is it a fixed wage or is it by the mile and how long is your runs. Do you get much home time or do you have to do them multi country runs down in Itly and stuff like that? Are there US drivers working there?

    How much are you paying for diesel?

    It is good to have you foreign boys postin' here.
