Well I would have to say the buck stops with tthe driver. A desk is not the concern of the DOT. What the driver does with his rig is.
I never blame a dpr for what I do because it is my choice. It is just a fact of OTR trucking That being on the A team versus the B will require the driver to be creative with some loads. When I read some posts on here I wonder what trucking industry some drivers think they are a part of.

HappyHardCore,
I am new to the trucking industry; in fact I start school next month in Jan. I am trying to research so that I can avoid the headaches of signing up with a bad or headache company. After reading your post I will definitely keep this post in mind. Thanks -

HappyHardCore and OPUS 7 Thank this.

Also, their CSA scores make it seem like they wouldn't be the type to bend the rules like you're suggesting. -
I think more companies are looking at your csa score now these days as im sure most know other companies lie especially when another calls them while your still driving for them. can anyone chime in about this.

Very good points.
Yes its been 3+ years since I was with them. Why complain now? Well I probably mentioned something way back then. I guess I was caffeinated and thought they deserved a topic in that category while checking out the forums. Having actually been much happier now for several years now that I'm not working for Heartland, I figured I'd warn the other drivers about them.
Hopefully they are better today, but I've learned in life that most people don't change much, they are who they are. So that goes for the company too if same people running it.
I'm sure companies are aware that other companies lie on DAC to get revenge on a driver that pissed them off, so yeah CSA2010 score would probably be more important, which means I don't have much to worry about if I look to hire with a different company. I'm sure new company would ask to explain any non chargeable accidents on the DAC that typically have no description for hitting a deer, etc.
