Any of you SNI drivers being short changed on hometime over the holidays? My SO has been out for a month, since right after Thanksgiving. He was planning on coming home Christmas Eve and being home for 4 days. He got the word from his DBL that he can take a 48 hour break and then hes got to head out again. I dont understand how they can mess with your hometime.

Was reading through the 2013/14 winter survival guide as it relates to battery life and idling. Funny how this booklet for drivers states that any 12v appliance with a heating element (such as a lnch box cooker) never be left plugged in while away from the3 vehicle and that 12v coolers should be unplugged overnight as well to conserve battery life.
Not one word stated anything such as these items are banned etc. Perhaps your husband doesn't know how to use the bunk heater(will keep him plenty warm) Or has been rude or disrespectful to DBL. Or haas idled constantly to run these items unecessarily. But what you stated is NOT policy.Meltom Thanks this. -

The mechanics there are either bored , playing jokes or just plain ########.
Heres the thing, when it comes to policy and what can and cant be on the truck, that is a contract between you and the company. A contract in which yu will sign line item by line item that you understand and agree to adhere to said policy for whatever that line item is.
I just went through my annual check ride with SNI and it was at the end of it that I initialed 17 pages of stuff. All of it related to company policy. Of course I got a copy to have for myself.
Nowhere in there did it say that the mechanics are the duly appointed Schneider Police. At most what they can do is make the report for against policy findings to safety, regulatory or your DBL or not release the truck after a repair or PM.jakecat22 and wentfishing223 Thank this. -
