i think you would have a better chance of getting into a company that does frac. they usually take you in with a CDL A with no experience. You dont drive as much probably about 2% of the time...mainly on location...FracTech or FTSI as they are called now is hiring in the Pleasanton,TX area

i'd recommend one of te Superior Energy companies. they have a bunch and as far as i know all pay well. i worked for Rising Star and was happy with them. i made 21/hr when i quit. but these are mostly all companies in the service industry which means it's mostly physical labor and only a litle bit of driving (to/from the well site to do the job). but if you're up for swinging hammers and carrying iron. they're good jobs witj consistently good hours. plus half the time you're getting paid for sitting around or sleeping in your truck waiting on the job to start.
if you don't mind being 24hrs on call for 6 days (3 days off) i'd go for the Cement side. they grt lots of hours (often 90+ if you're willing to do it) and have a lot of downtime compared to frac or acid. if you want to be home every night and know ehat time you work the next day, do acid. you'll get 60-70hrs a week if you try (hang around the yard a while after you get back from a job). frac is the hardest work and the most hours. Rising Star pays better than most service companies. the biggest companies generally pay the least. pm me if you want. good luckTrentonWD Thanks this.
